BIOGRAPHY

A dynamic and versatile musician, he graduated with highest honors in saxophone from the “N. Piccinni” Conservatory in Bari under the guidance of M° Fabio Sammarco. He then completed a Master’s degree at the “G. Rossini” Conservatory in Pesaro with M° Federico Mondelci, achieving a score of 110/110, with praises and an honourable mention.

He further refined his skills at the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Alicante, Spain.

He has participated in advanced masterclasses with some of the most important saxophone figures worldwide, including Claude Delangle, Mario Marzi, Otis Murphy, Federico Mondelci, Arno Bornkamp, Nikita Zimin, Jérôme Laran, Marco Gerboni, Javier Girotto, Antonio García Jorge, and Sixto Herrero.

He served as assistant to M° Sixto Herrero at the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Alicante, Spain, during the 2024/2025 academic year.

 

 

Since 2019, he has been the Artistic Director of the NOT(t)E DI LUNA festival, inviting artists such as Gianni Iorio, Laura Marzadori, Federico Mondelci, the Italian Sax Orchestra, Scipione Sangiovanni, Pasquale Stafano, and others.

In August 2024, he was the logistics coordinator for the Italian Academy of Saxophone and the Montesaxnovo Festival in Ostravetere (AN).

He is a Brand Ambassador for the Paris-based company JLV Sounds.

 

 

He is regularly invited to give concerts, both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles, at national and international institutions and festivals such as Locomotive Jazz Festival, Ancona Jazz, Emilia Romagna Festival, Marche Festival, Montesaxnovo Festival, Ente Concerti of Pesaro, Contemporaryartensemble in Florence, Miami International Piano Festival, Fortezza in Musica, Gioventù Musicale d’Italia, Chieti Classica, Lago Maggiore in Musica, Festival del Capo di Leuca, I Concerti del Chiostro, MusicaRiva in Riva del Garda, and Festival delle Nazioni in Rome, among others.

He also performs for MaMu in Milan, the Italian Clarinet Academy in Cesena, the Italian Saxophone Academy in Ostravetere (AN), the MACA – Museo de Arte Contemporáneo in Alicante, and the Auditorio de la Diputación de Alicante (ADDA), where he appeared as a soloist with the wind orchestra of the CSM in Alicante.

He participated in two consecutive editions of the World Saxophone Congress — in 2018 in Zagreb, and in 2023 in the Philharmonic Orchestra Hall of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria — as well as in the third edition of the EuroSax Congress in Trento, performing two concerts.

 

 

He collaborates with numerous international artists and orchestras, including Federico Mondelci, Gianni Iorio, Francesco Libetta, Scipione Sangiovanni, Aylen Pritchin, Simone Zanchini, and Mikhail Kazakov.

He has formed various chamber ensembles such as the duo SaxCelle, with cellist Antonio Aprile, and regularly performs in duo with pianists Scipione Sangiovanni, Christian Greco, and Francesco Libetta.

He is a member of the Italian Saxophone Orchestra founded and directed by Maestro Federico Mondelci, and of the saxophone octet founded and directed by M° Sixto Herrero.

Since 2024, he has been intensively active with the AlGoRhythm Ensemble saxophone quartet, a formation that has immediately garnered wide acclaim on the international scene.

 

 

With great curiosity and devotion to his instrument, he actively collaborates with contemporary composers such as Emanuele Stracchi, Alessio Manega, Antonello Rizzella, Sixto Herrero, Giuseppe Sasso, Stefania Tallini, Gianni Iorio, Francesco Libetta, having the pleasure and honor to premiere their works.
